Exposed Acne Treatment

Exposed Acne Treatment is one of the better acne treatments on the market. It has the potential to make a huge difference on the skin. However, if you don't use it properly you may find yourself frustrated with lack of results. In this article I will cover the 3 common mistakes Exposed acne users make.

1. Relying on Exposed as the be-all-end-all solution to acne

The unfortunate fact is that Exposed can never give you permanently clear skin. That's because acne is really an internal problem with external manifestations.

It's common knowledge that acne is caused by excess sebum and dead skin cells. Together these clog your skin pores, and this allows acne causing bacteria to colonize the pores. The end result is acne.

Topical treatments, Exposed acne included, combat acne by exfoliating your skin. This helps to keep the skin pores open. Additionally these treatments use benzoyl peroxide, or other active ingredients, to kill the bacteria in the pores.

Unfortunately this is a losing battle. That's because the real cause of acne is hormonal imbalances and chronic inflammation. Together these put the sebum production in the skin glands to overdrive. They also cause skin cells to grow and shed faster. More dead skin cells. More sebum. Does that sound like acne to you?

Before you can get permanently clear you have to fix these imbalances. Otherwise no matter how much lotion you apply today, tomorrow your skin pores will be full of sebum and dead skin cells again.

2. Never changing your skin care routine

Have you ever wondered why acne treatment products stop working? I mean you use a treatment and it works fine for a few months, but all of a sudden it stops working. Why is that?

Because your skin got used to the treatment. Another possibility is that after prolonged exposure your skin couldn't tolerate the chemicals in the treatment anymore, and they started irritating your skin.

So how do you get over this problem? Easy, just vary your skin care routine. Instead of applying same lotions and creams every day, change things aroung a bit. Use some home remedies one day, and Exposed the next day. This way there's a less change your skin gets used to the routine. Honey is an excellent home remedy. It's antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. So if you use honey every other day, it can repair the damage the chemicals in most acne treatments do to your skin.

3. Not understanding how diet affects the skin

We already covered how acne is really an internal problem. Well, diet is a big part of that problem. Through your dietary choices you can either help or hinder the imbalances.

Talking about specific foods, dairy is one of the worst foods for your skin. Several studies have found an association with consumption of dairy products and severity of acne.

Dairy contains the same hormones that have been linked to acne. That's right, the very same hormones that increase sebum production are found in milk and other dairy products.

Suddenly getting that milk mustache doesn't sound like such a great idea anymore, does it?

Conclusion

There you have it, the 3 mistakes Exposed acne users make. Put this info to use. Cut dairy out of your diet. Spice up your skin care routine with some home remedies, and don't rely on any topical treatment as the be-all-end-all answer to acne. Your skin will thank you for it.
