Internet dating tips: How to get your emails opened
77Think back to when you opened your email today. Didn't you just know which emails you should delete.
And how did you know that?
If you are like me you first checked who the email is from. Then you check the subject lines, because the subject line tells you immediately if the email is junk.
If I see anything resembling enhancing my private parts or bedroom performance, Nigeria, Awards, Girt Cards or anything like that I just junk the email immediately. Blink of an eye and it's gone.
What does this have to do with online dating?
Subject line is the most important part of your email
Well, you should pay careful attention to the subject lines of the emails you send to women. Most guys make the mistake of spending 30 minutes crafting the perfect email, but they don't pay any attention to the subject line. All that time crafting the email is wasted - because she never even opens it!
This is especially true because attractive women get tens, or even hundreds, of emails every day. Attractive women have busy lives. They have friends and interesting work. Do you think they have time or interest to click through hundreds of boring subject lines hoping to find something interesting.
Heck no! If your subject line is boring you are out of the game even before it started.
Some dating sites, such as dateinasia.com, don't have subject lines. In that case you have to treat the first line of your email as the subject line. Because that's what she sees in her inbox.
The one type of subject line that gets your emails opened and replied
I was just reading a report about the type of subject line that works best at online dating sites. Interestingly, there's one very simple subject line that gets your emails opened better than others.
Before I tell you what it is, think about all the subject lines you find interesting. What kind of subject line makes you think, "I have to check this out!"
Would it be something like…
"Look more free stuff here!", or "OPEN ME RIGHT NOW!"
Those might have worked before, but now they just get deleted.
But what if you saw this in your inbox:
"bad news…"
Exactly!
You would open that one right away. I gotta know what's wrong.
You see, that was the subject line that was found to open emails faster than others. And it makes sense. If that was in your inbox you would immediately think it was from a friend or a family member bearing bad news. And you would have to open that right away.
So how can you use this to get more dates from interned dating sites?
Simple. You just copy it. You find an attractive woman you want to contact. In the subject line you write…
Bad news…
Of course you just can't leave it like that. That would be lame and get you blocked right away. So you continue with some interesting 'bad' news. Something like this…
"It has come to my attention that you are about to reply to a guy above me in your inbox. Did you know that he's known for proposing to women on the first date? Yes, well good thing I'm here to stop you from making this HUGE mistake! Anyway…"
Then just go on with your email. That separates you from all the lame emails all the other guys send to her. You get her attention and put a smile on her face. This is huge in the dating sites where women are bored to death with the same boring emails over and over again.
Try it out. Write a few subject lines similar to 'bad news…', such as:
- 'Distressing news…'
- 'I'm afraid I have some bad news…'
- 'This is unfortunate…'
Then just craft an email to fit the subject line. You can use this template.
"It has come to my attention that you are about to reply to a guy above me in your inbox. Did you know that he's known for [insert a typical mistake guys on dating sites make]? Yes, well good thing I'm here to stop you from making this HUGE mistake! Anyway…"
And there you go.
Try it out and I guarantee you start getting replies, and dates - if you know how to follow this up.
Remember, that getting those emails opened is crucial to your internet dating success. It's the first step towards finding the women of your dreams from dating sites.
